How long you been DJing: 9 Years, although I only had one belt drive turntable when I first started.History: Started DJing when I was 12 playing UKG, and throughout my secondary school years I spent every lunchtime and after school practicing with my friends developing my skills before having brief spells on pirates Upfront (the original one) and Heat. When I left school my musical preference changed, having not been satisfied with the music I was playing I gradually started pursuing my love for reggae music and having spent the summer working on a music technology course I gradually began to play out more and more whether it at local house parties or at local under 21 events.
Once at college myself and DJ Skittles joined forces to play the colleges dance and this saw a fruitful relationship and the formation of Exodus 1st Movement with lyricists Rebel I & Thuggish and producer Irate. During this period I participated in the East London DJ championships, and although breezing through the early rounds and being favourite to win I eventually finished 4th having made a terrible start to the final round. This saw Exodus expand rapidly and as the crew?s direction changed myself, Irate and Skittlez formed the Sound System arm ? Da Pyramid Legacy and this saw them play out more and more and eventually lead to them gaining two shows on the then brand new pirate station Hav It fm 99.1.
Within weeks Tu Tuff?s Babycham had been ask to host my Bashment show and me & Skittlez continued the Saturday Morning madness until Skittlez?s University commitments lead to us giving up the Saturday mornings and left me and Cham to concentrate on the Bashment Show quickly establishing it as a must listen every Tuesday. After we did a cover show on a Sunday The Rice ?n? Peas Show was born, gradually developing into The Rice n Peas/Roast Show with its format of Reggae/Revival, debates and general madness.
After spending nearly two years doing various Bookings and the radio shows the concept of Bad Manners was formed with long term friend and DJ of Myself & Babycham, Slamma getting involved in Radio and eventually Bad Manners Sound was formed, making it one of the most formidable combinations in the buisness.Top Five Tunes of All Time (what only 5!
