Downside is the latest sensation to hit the streets, originating in Birmingham the group formed in 2004. Bursting on to the scene in 2006 with appearances on Channel U, MTV Base, Fizz, Music Flash TV and Blastro.com, with their underground classic ‘Moneyman’ which went into the Channel U Charts and reached number 7, staying in the top twenty for three consecutive months. Their next hit ‘See me’ featuring Frontlinerz went straight into charts at number three and now both singles are featured on the ‘Channel U compilation CD’ available to buy in all HMV stores. In 2007 Downside made their first musical debut appearance in the blockbuster film ‘Beautiful karma’ that is scheduled for release in 2008. They have received radio play on all national frequencies, such as: - Kiss FM, Radio1 Xtra, Choice FM, Dejavu, Westside Radio, Whoa FM and many others. Downsides are experienced in the music industry, performing at numerous live events both national and internationally, having numerous dates for live performances lined up in Europe for 2008 (see event dates). Downsides currently have mix tapes circulating around Europe, getting airplay in UK, Germany, France Switzerland and Belgium and are in the process of completing their studio album set for release around Easter 2008. The Single ‘Private Party’ is set to be the first track to be released off the new self entitled Album ‘Downside’. UK Movement and Street Cred magazine said ‘It is one of the best tunes to come out this year’. Downside is already creating an incredible buzz, which makes Downside definitely one to look out for 2008...
