My faith in Jesus Christ permeates every part of my life - from my love of family and friends (VIEW MY PICS) to my interest in politics and current world events.I love this country, so I am VERY patriotic...
I try to see things from God's perspective and I have found that time alone with Him, and reading His Holy Word, helps me to feel at peace when it seems that everything around us is falling apart.
Of all the people who are ALIVE today, I'd most love to meet Jesus Christ up close and face-to-face - and I have the assurance that will happen one day because I have put my faith in Him...
What do you believe in?
What will happen to you after you die?
UNFOLDING THE ROSE
It is only a tiny rosebud, a flower of God's design;
But I cannot unfold the petals with these clumsy hands of mine.
The secret of unfolding flowers is not known to such as I.
God opens this flower so sweetly when in my hands they die.
If I cannot unfold a rosebud, this flower of God's design,
Then how can I have the wisdom to unfold this life of mine?
So, I'll trust in Him for leading each moment of the day.
I will look to Him for His guidance each step of my pilgrim way.
The pathway that lies before me
only my Heavenly Father knows.
I'll trust Him to unfold the moments,
just as He unfolds the rose.

I listen to almost anything in the Christian genre! My favorite songwriter and singer is Todd Agnew, but I love to listen to the "southern rock" of Third Day. I also love some modern country music, especially if the songs are about traditional values, faith in Jesus, and true love that lasts for a lifetime. VIEW "My Favorite" VIDEOS TO SEE THE VARIETY OF MUSIC I LIKE TO LISTEN TO!
Pride and Prejudice, The Notebook (minus sexual content), The Lake House, Just Like Heaven, Inside Man, Walk the Line, Eight Below, Glory Road, Annapolis, Passion of the Christ, The Matrix, Speed, Open Range, The Alamo, Saving Private Ryan, Lonesome Dove, Pure Country, A Walk in the Clouds, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, An Affair to Remember, It's a Wonderful Life... just to name a few. I see most movies the same week they come out - I'm a total nut about that sort of thing!
***UPDATE***
Here are some movies I've seen lately. I told you I'm a total movie "nut"!!! =)
I don't really have a lot of time for t.v., except when I'm hitting the treadmill for an hour-and-a-half in the evenings... then I'll usually watch whatever is on the Food Network (Rachel Ray, Bobby Flay), National Geographic (Dog Whisperer), FoxNews (Hannity and Colmes), or Cartoon Network (just about anything there). A friend of mine recently got me hooked on ABC's "Lost", so now my son and I really love the show!
I also like to watch football, especially the SuperBowl, and I keep close tabs on my 'Boys!
I love books. I remember when I was home-schooled during my 2nd grade year (we were living in South Korea) I would grab whatever I could read to pass the time - including Webster's dictionary and the King James Version of the Bible!! I have a collection of almost every book that Ted Dekker has written... I especially love the Circle Trilogy because it teaches us about the Great Romance and God's neverending love for us. I've read some Bill Bright, Os Guiness, and Hank Hanegraaff lately.
Josh Harris's "I Kissed Dating Goodbye" is a must-read - it really changed my perspective on friendship, dating, and courtship! I've also enjoyed some thick Tom Clancy novels.
My friends are my heroes! =)
... and I wanted to be one of Charlie's Angels (Jaclyn Smith, the one on the right in the pic on the left) or Wonder Woman (Lynda Carter) when I was growing up!
... but my number one hero will always be my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! WATCH THE VIDEO IN MY "ABOUT ME" SECTION!

It is the ultimate Love Story: He was a king who left his heavenly throne behind, and gave up EVERYTHING for the sake of Love. He is the King of kings and Lord of lords, and from my personal experiences He is also my Lord, Provider, Protector, and Knight in Shining Armor. He is my Everything. I pray that one day He will send that special someone who will love me in the same way that Christ loves the Church.
