Le Starfish si formano agli sgoccioli del 2003 arrivando solo nell'aprile del 2004 alla formazione attuale; vengono da Genova e sono 4 ragazze "arrabbiate" che si ispirano al movimento RIOT delle Bikini Kill (da cui hanno preso il nome "Starfish"), delle Huggy Bear, delle Tiger Trap... condividendone la matrice punk e gli ideali politici e femministi. La loro musica è semplice e diretta e cerca di esprimere, spesso anche in maniera ironica, la loro carica ribelle. Il primo demo è stato registrato nel giugno 2004; il secondo invece ha visto la luce nel maggio del 2005.Starfish arose at the end of 2003 and they got to the present membership just in April 2004; they are from Genoa (Italy). These 4 “angry young girls†are inspired by the RIOT scene, mostly by Bikini Kill (the name “Starfish†is because of one of their songs), Huggy Bear, Tiger Trap...agreeing to their punk attitude, political ideals and feminism. Starfish’ music is simple and direct, and tries to voice their rebellious strength. The first demo cd was recorded in June 2004. Another one came in May 2005.
