About Me
David Cortella, a.k.a DENDE, was born in Genoa, the 2nd of April 1979. During his childhood he took his first steps towards electro-music. He started playing in various, ‘cool’, ligurian clubs and already felt prepared to offer his technical and creative styles. His passion for the console makes always different dj set and proposes the sound more exclusive.Dende's music joins jazz with the last tendences in the electronic sounds (projects), is going through borders of styles blends live performance of the best jazz solists with the modern music's sounds and rhythms, (Breakbeat, Drum and Bass, House and Hip Hop). He moved jazz and dance music from its original entertainment and offers a transformed statiating body and soul sound with hard beats and sophisticated atmosphere. His music style was a combination of deep and sinuous bass rhythms. Now, it is hypnotic and repetitive, outlining a hermetic melodic poetry that leave the imagination free to fill empty spaces with immensity. Thanks to his dedicated work in the recording studio he discovered his need to re-mix and produce tracks that reflected his musical tastes taken into account the music industry and his followers. From this a new project came into fruition, ‘ ONDE BETA’, a band that wanted to deepen their mix between electromusic, funky and house, many examples can be found in the band’s creation. The movement, energy, integrity and passion are some of the qualities which distinguish its production. In October 2005, became Dj resident and artistic director of ‘Nuhar Club’, in Genova, consider to be the temple of electromusic. There he is able to experiment with new sounds thanks to the partnership and collaboration of artists and DJs of international acclaim. In summer 2006, with other two great dj like Paolo Driver and Andrea Mocce, became “resident†of the “Swing beach†and worked like “guest†for the Attitude night organized by “Cool-Made†fashion agency. In winter 2006, with his close collaborators, created a new label: “Nuhar recordsâ€.Today, David Cortella continues to develop his concept of ‘collision’ electromusic.
