BIOZUNI PROJECT
Biozuni project born in 2006, takes name from ancient idols of European mitology, to identify 3 artists and personality that acts and take inspiration form the magic night atmosphere. The fusion of these 3 musical soul, each grown and affected by different genres and sounds, give life to musical productions that pass from groovy and float electrohouse to a minimal contaminated techno-house that actually influences all electro music scene. Three guys Essi J (Sergio Campagna ), Andrea Mocce and Junolab (Valerio Zuffanti) comes from different thinking schools and musical experiences, but in this project they found a rendezvous looking for involved groove and wish to give emotions , always opened at sperimentation and new styles and sounds. Biozuni Live project instead re-invent the modern Live set tryng to go away from the straight sequencies of the classic electronic performance, to present a real synth, fx improvisation Gear that every night paint each other with different music colors.
Andrea Mocce
Artistically born in 1993, Andrea Mocce is Dj and producer, He is marked by the search of the groove. His experimentations - above all the live ones – together with his interaction with the public give always "that something more". Since the beginning of year 1996 Andrea has been joining all the more fashion happenings in Liguria and he has become therefore a point of reference of the Genoese Nightlife. The wish to propose warmer and innovative sonority brought him to enjoy more refined musical environments and travelling through the North Italy proposing his set in many House Night such as Juice of Juice, Prince (Riccione), Subway Vibrations, Natural Beat Festival, Babayssa. In that years, Andrea shared the console with djs from every part of the world: Justin Berkmann, Francesco Farfa, Joe Montana, Ralf, Boosta, Alex Neri, Claudio Coccoluto, Scarlett Etienne, Antoine 909, Ricky Montanari, Stylophonic, and many more. A friendship and constant cooperation arose particularly with Paolo Driver: the two have been working together since then in recording studio and in the clubs. Genoese clubbers literally fell in love for their set. In 2005 Andrea was requested as dj resident together with Paolo at Nuhar Club. The two of them ‘do the difference’ and they succeeded to bring the Genoese dance scene to an international level. In his productions and remixes we can find electronic sonority combined with harmonies and soul funky and always actualized with the current musical styles.
Essij
Sergio was born in Genoa, 34 years ago and is known with the pseudonym of Essi J. In 1994 he became resident in more nightclubs of North Italy continuously suggesting avant-garde music and comparing himself to the best DJs of the moment, playing with Francesco Farfa,, Justin Berkman, Tod Terry, Roby j, Paolo Driver, Francesco Zappala’ ,Massimo Cominotto, CØrradØ, Ciro and Mario Scalambrin... in more exclusive Italian Clubs as Club Imperiale, Matrix, Kama Kama’, Jasmine, Duple’,Insomnia, Taverna jory ,and many other Local but not less important Local Clubs. In the years after decide to study as Technical for Audio system and begin first interest for music production. In 2007 after various collaborations and searching for new sounds, he start the production adventure with our friends Junolab and Andrea Mocce , the first release Psicadelik- Nuhar Rec, a groovy tech-house track that immediately make curious djs and music employees. Actually produce some tracks with Junolab and Biozuni Project, also collaborate with some our label artist to remix tracks. His sound is not so easy to catalogued , based on the progressive and tech-house movement but always searching the right mix of groove and emotional atmosphere to involve the listener in a big pleasure trip towards innovative music. As a Dj now work specially with our selection on Biozuni Project, presenting more of the progressive, tribal and dream tracks of the Biozuni Live Performance.
Junolab
Valerio Zuffanti aka Junolab born in April ’73 ,his music passion start listening ’80 rock, psychedelic, progressive music, then at 14 years he bought a guitar and begin to play it in some local underground band. The music Played and listened in these years was blues, acidjazz, funky, bossanova. On ’98 enchanted by the new samplers, begin to capture sounds from old movies, cassette, vinils and start to produce the first electronic tracks among which experimental but rich of groove, atmosfere, and feel of having his sound. The Junolab project born On ’00 with Alex Cavalieri (dj,producer –Sunset boys) get a move on remixes with a b-side (Niki b & Cristian Effe- Jamaik dub mix, etc ) and take part in international remix contest (Organik competition London, etc). In the years after begin to study as Electronic Producer at Sae institute- Milan and continue to make experience working for music in Artistic show (G. Coraggio ’04 , V. Zuffanti ’05) Later on ‘06, it meets Sergio Campagna (Essij) and Andrea Mocce, already popular Djs of the local nightlife with which start producing first house tracks and begin an artistic and creative partnership active till today. His sound across more different styles from acid jazz, downbeat, lounge to house tracks frequently contaminated by the elektro wave of these years and however all ..ated by his artistic essence search. At present now work in the Biozuni Live Project as improvisation man, playing a synth and triggering samples, often trying to complete or remix live, the selections of Essij and Andrea Mocce..
