Cafe Du Nord is located in the Upper Market, just outside of the Castro. Built after the great Earth Quake of 1906, Du Nord has a sordid history as a brothel, a speakeasy, and the meeting place of secret societies. It now houses one of San Francisco's swankiest nightclubs featuring live talent, both local and national.
