Total Demise originates as a four-piece that started jamming in the spring of 2001. They just wanted to play metal, but since they weren’t all that skilled yet, it didn’t sound that awesome at the time. However, when time passed by the band actually learned how to play tight and well, and managed to develop their own brand of thrashy yet melodic death metal with a touch of hardcore. In the summer of 2003 the band recorded a demo. But when the release was finally about to happen, the recorded songs didn’t match the improved skills of the band anymore. So it would never see the light of day.
After dealing with several line up changes and almost a year without a drummer, the current line-up seems to be stable and consists of bassist Stefan Gonggrijp, drummer Sven Jansen, lead guitarist Jayant Makhan, rythm guitarist Lucas Rutting and vocalist Bob van Beurten. With this new line up Total Demise is ready to wreck stages and smack you in the face with some death n’ thrash mayhem.
The debut EP was recorded and mixed at the Bunt Studio in Utrecht by Menno Bakker, mastered by Darius van Helfteren at the Wisseloord Studios in Hilversum and the artwork was drawn by Michiel Walrave. The MCD contains five tracks and is out now!
