About Me

Since I was about 4 years I could sit alone for hours listening to music. Analysing, comparing, wondering and enjoying.
My father had a big collection with all kinds of music. Simon and Gartfunkel, Leonard Cohen, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, Serrat a lot of jazz, Flamenco, Tango, all kinds of classical music and of course being Spanish, a lot of Hispanic music.
When I got a bit older and needed to expand my musical horizon my ant introduced me to Bob Marley, Jimi, The Doors, Django, Zeppelin, Leadbelly, Miles, Pink Floyd and stuff like that.
I started playing around with my mother’s guitar when I was about 8 but I didn’t start making my own music until I was 25.
After several years playing in an funk, reagge type band( Flowjoes), I wanted to do more accustic things.
I hooked up with Ole J, Jon Petter and Heine in January 2006 and we started the Sunday Mornin Band. We'we ended up with an all accustic sound with a lot of latin, jazz, funk, reagge and pop elements.
The first single is sold out, but the debut album is on it..s way. Show some support and buy it. You wont be dissapointed.
PAZ,
Fred ut

Sounds Like:

José Leguina & the Sunday Morning Band has finally released their first single “Song for Sunday Morning”. It was recorded in a couple of days august 2007. The unsigned band has done most of the job on their own, but with great help from producer Magnus Abelsen in Silvertone Studios. The CD has received good critics, and was sold out in just a couple of months. “Songs for Sunday morning” is an all acoustic CD witch suites the song material perfectly. It all sounds like a mix between Latin, pop, funk, jazz and it makes you think of palms, white beaches and cold Martinis.

Their next release is due to come out in May, and I’m really looking forward to hearing more from José Leguina and his Sunday Morning Band.
