Someone asked me why I don't sell my pics to publications. It's simple, that's not why I do this. Ever seen what some of the papers want to charge grieving families for a few copies of their pics? It's a crime, but their purpose is to exploit the fallen heroes and their families (In my opinion).
You be amazed how many times I've seen them print pics that the family didn't want taken in the first place. That's another reason why you don't see family members in the photos I post for all, unless I have a specific request or they are part of the service in a different way.I photograph these events for the families, so they can pass this on to the heroes kids that may now be too young to understand. So the families can see who all was there, what all went on... Many things that you don't see when your heart is busy bleeding for a loved one, while your eyes a swollen with tears. This is something I do in addition to the website projects honoring our fallen heroes and reminding people of who they are and as long as I can find a way to get to them, I will.

Posterity “In God we trust” An original 36”x48” Acrylic on canvas painting By Marc Dull 16”x20” acid-free print $20.00

Artist StatementPosterity means succeeding or future generations collectively. “Posterity” is the third painting in the “U.R. of America” series. It is a tribute to the unalienable Right of Happiness. A wise man once told me that happiness is like a butterfly that we chase and chase, trying unsuccessfully to catch, and when we finally sit down and rest from exhaustion it lands on our shoulder. On July 4th, 1776 a committee submitted to Congress a draft of the Declaration of Independence. The delegates held these 3 truths to be self-evident: 1. All men are created equal. 2. Their Creator with certain unalienable Rights endows all men, which among these Rights are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. 3. We the people institute governments to secure these Rights and if the Government becomes destructive to these ends, it is our Right to alter or abolish it. The Declaration then goes on to say that if you replace that government make sure that the new one is based on a foundation of Principles, namely, Safety and Happiness. Furthermore, that government isn’t changed for light or transient causes. Think about these powerful ideas for a moment. This painting is a tribute to all young people and shows a formula for success (Happiness). In the months prior to 9/11/01 we witnessed another type of terrorism and it was in our schools. My goals are to challenge and inspire all of the young heroes of the future. They will accomplish things that we can’t even conceive of yet! Collectively, you will be asked to carry on this long established government. You will be asked to carry on this undertaking of preserving these Rights of Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. You will be asked much! I challenge you to give much (LOVE)! I challenge you to remember that with the privileges of freedom come the responsibilities to defend it (PREPARE)! I challenge you to pursue and define Safety and Happiness for yourselves and for your generation (DREAM). I challenge you all to find the gift that your Creator gave you, practice it intensely, and learn to share it with others passionately (TRUST)! I challenge you to remember to live well, laugh often, and love much! Finally, I salute you and ask you to remember “Novus ordo seclorum” is Latin for; “a new order of the ages is born,” it is on the great seal of the United States located on the reverse side of the $1.00 Bill. God Bless America!

MEET THE PROUD WARRIORS OF THE BAKER COMPANYThe attached photo was forwarded from one of the last U.S. Marine companies in Iraq . They would like to have it passed to as many people as possible, to let the folks back home know that they remember why they're there and that they remember those who've been lost The proud warriors of Baker Company wanted to do something to pay tribute To our fallen comrades. So since we are part of the only Marine Infantry Battalion left in Iraq the one way that we could think of doing that i! s By taking a picture of Baker Company saying the way we feel. It would be awesome if you could find a way to share this with our fellow countrymen. I was wondering if there was any way to get this into your papers to let the world know that "WE HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN" ! and are proud to serve our country." Semper Fi 1stSgt Dave Jobe
