This week, I've been jumping on the trampoline after sunset, to Ben Folds and Nick Drake.
More people who do their part... We have a small rescue ranch with horses, geese, cats and many dogs. We're also a foster family for the Arizona Humane Society. Our last dog was found by us, as a pregnant skeleton, on the Salt River Indian Reservation. She was such a skinny, big dog, she could fit through the 6 inch wide bars of my pool fence. 5 weeks later, she gave birth to 7 healthy pups. She is exactly the type of dog that's "put down" every day: big, black, scraggly, with a loving and devoted heart. Over 300 dogs a day are euthanized in Maricopa County, alone. Who are these idiots who breed dogs or buy dogs from pet stores? RESCUE!!!!!! It's the right thing to do!
Glasgow, Scotland is a little hot-pocket of really cool pop/rock at the moment. Check out the song on my profile by The Fast Camels, "Like A Magic Optician". The Fast Camels, along with the Daniel Wylie and the Green Peppers are all part of the Glasgow contingent of Neon Tetra Records, an independant lable and friends of RadioFreePhoenix.com.Check out new music on RFP by: Gomez, Ben Folds, Loose Fur, The Bees (US) White Satellite, The Martial Arts and The Earps. Cool stuff, man!
Nothing beats a night in pajamas and lounge chairs at the Scottsdale Six Drive In!!!! Bring on the Twizzlers baby!
The tv is a portal to hell but I can't help but love "The Office"!
I read all the Russian classics in college. Now, I just read the Enquirer. Seriously, though, I just started "Man Ray's Montaparnasse". Pretty high brow stuff and kinda boring. Don't know if I'll finish it. Looking to get "John" by Cynthia Lennon. Plan on reading lots by the banks of the mighty Gila River, this summer. Update: I ditched the Man Ray for Darlene Love's bio. Great tidbits of rock and roll history from someone who was there!
My Mom and Dad.
