Eyes Without A Face - Billy Idol - VH1 Storytellers
Add to My Profile | More VideosDescription: I looked long and hard for a decent live performance video of William performing his signature song from the 1980s. Most of the videos I found were terrible! None could compete with the original studio version... that is until I finally located this one from 2001's VH-1 Storytellers session. Talk about an almost perfect live performance... this one has it all (except for Idol wearing his open-shirt, younger look). Billy is in good voice and has an excellent backup band... including the song's co-author, Steve Stevens on superb lead guitar (Stevens is a guitarist's guitarist... he's one of the best around). Billy doesn't hog the spotlight either, lots of on-air time is given to incredible backup singer "Stella Katsoudas" (also known as Stella Soleil) who adds the saucy female French part (Les yeux sans visage) complimenting Idol and the song to the max! Thank goodness to Storytellers for putting together this second-to-none live performance.
