DAS ALDI COMBO

About Me

DAS ALDI COMBO greedingly looks for the special offers in contemporary music; souljazz like Jimmy McGriff, Rock & Roll, a ballad or rather something by The Cramps? It doesn’t really matter, because the way DAS ALDI COMBO adresses it’s music to the crowd, even makes a stiff Scotchman feel like he was born to dance.Nobody ever noticed, but it’s only fair to admit; DAS ALDI COMBO only plays instrumentals. We should be grateful for that, ‘cause so much good music gets lost because of a bad singer. Drums, bass, saxophone and Hammond-organ turn out to be more than enough to drive both the gentlemen on stage and the crowd in front of them into a state of total excitement.DAS ALDI COMBO, of which the bassplayer normally plays piano in a bigband, while the drummer and organplayer also reside in resp. sixties-garageband The Firebirds and soulpunkers Green Hornet, plus a sax-player of Jammah Tammah fame, will soon release it's first album. Don’t make us wait to long gentlemen! The unique formula of DAS ALDI COMBO already set many a venue ablaze. I only need to mention the Gasolinebar during the Eurosonic festival, or this time the gentlemen were opening up for (ahum) The Fun Lovin’ Criminals (or was it Fine Young Cannibals; they don’t remember exactly). Say nomore! Jack Daniels’s got his Rocknights, Holland's got it’s tulips and Europe’s got DAS ALDI COMBO!
