Soul mama

Alida's singin' started since she was a child! She would sing all the tunes she heard on the radio and tv! Her parents sometimes even recorded her with an old stereo! As a child she studied keys and music theory for a few years. Later on, she decided to focus on singing and writing lyrics. Her first professional gig came at the age of 19 at a small pub in Groningen (Netherlands), where she sang together with a Jazz band old tunes of Sinatra, etc... She has ever since joined several bands like 'Funk U' (a coverband in Athens-Greece) where she curently sings, the 'Soulmates' (a coverband in the Netherlands), 'The Lemonsqueezers' (a rockband in the Netherlands) and the 'GvonB' band (a pop/rockband in the Netherlands). She also coworked with music producers and dj's doing vocals for funk powered beats! .. Multi-influenced, in search of new musical experiences, collaborations and more live performances! ..
