Lyle Henderson began singing when he was 5 years old, on a chair, in front of a national church convention audience at a General Assembly of THE CHURCH OF THE LIVING GOD.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~He began his interest in the media as a small child, admiring the anchormen and newscasters.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~His pursuit of both only made his music ministry stronger and more committed. He has performed with such Gospel greats as the late O'Landa Draper, Edwin Hawkins Music & Arts Seminar recording choir, Trin-i-tee-5-7, Earnest Pugh, The Mississippi Mass Choir, New Orleans Gospel Soul Children, to name a few... ++++++++++++++
He has also performed with such Jazz greats as Terence Blanchard, Jubilant Sykes, Davell Crawford, Marva Wright, to name a few...++++++++++++~~~~~~~Lyle began a career briefly as an R&B DJ on New Orleans' based FM98 and simultaneously 5 years as a Gospel radio announcer in 1988 on WYLD Radio. He has been a member of the GMWA Gospel Announcers' Guild.~~~~~~~~~~~~~In 1991, he was ordained to the ministry and currently serves as a worship leader, deacon, and an evangelist. He enjoys the life-long membership in New Orleans at The Church of the Living God In Unity, Bishop Warren Parker, Pastor.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~He began producing Gospel Brunch shows for the House of Blues in 1994...~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Lyle co-produced and recorded his first CD on the Rampart Street Music/Pinnacle Entertainment project called, "I Cannot Go Back," in 1997. The CD sold upwards of 12,000 units and, while it is currently out of print, is still in demand. As a result, several CDs have emerged for sale and resale on the internet through various sites (including Amazon.com, AOL Music, etc).===================Lyle Henderson & Emmanu-EL (the BAND) have toured 4 times in ITALY and Lyle has also performed in Switzerland & Canada and countless cities throughout the U.S.A.+++++++++++++++++++In 2001, members of the Louisiana and New Orleans media began to dub him as the NEW ORLEANS PRINCE OF GOSPEL.==========================Having submitted to the disciplines of Journalism, Mass Communications and Music performance at XAVIER UNIVERSITY of LOUISIANA, Mr. Henderson is a.....................VOCALIST / Praise & Worship Leader.................AUTHOR / EDITOR / GHOSTWRITER......................SONGWRITER .............and ORDAINED MINISTER OF THE GOSPEL~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~That's the history. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~The rest is the future!
