Hello to all and welcome to the music page of Joshua Lenox! Who in the world is Joshua Lenox? Born February 9, 1985 to a family grounded in the church. Josh received great foundation growing up in the Church of God In Christ. Joshua’s mother knew the calling on his life was of great magnitude when he died at the age of 18 months. Only by the prayers of the righteous, Josh was revived and brought back to life. Josh’s relationship with Christ started fairly early in his life and his mother made sure of it. He began singing at the age of five in church. Josh has been afforded great experiences of singing or being under the direction of many notable people in his lifetime such as: Daryl Coley, Roland Carter, The National Baptist Convention Choir, COGIC Convention Choirs, Richard Smallwood, the late Dr. Mattie Moss-Clark, Take 6, Ricky Dillard, CeCe Winans, The Nashville Symphony, and many others. Josh’s vocal range goes from soprano to baritone, and this includes either natural, falsetto, head-voice or a mixture. Just recently over the summer, he was able to sing in the studio, which was a first for him. "Singing in the studio is very different from singing live ," Josh says.God has truly blessed him to understand that when it comes to ministering for God, it is definitely not about him. Josh’s hunger to reach larger masses has increased throughout his life. God continues to put him in places he never thought he would be. Within the last year Josh had an acting/singing role in his first stage play titled “A Mother’s Prayer.” In this play, Josh’s character, Darren, is a thug who goes through the typical street life, but ends up giving his life to Christ in the end. This play was performed in Nashville, Clarksville, and Mobile, Alabama. On top of acting, Josh is also a dancer and choreographer. God has allowed him to be the first male to be a part of a dance team for a marching band in collegiate history while attending the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. So Josh has major plans for his life and watches gratefully how God continues to take him to higher levels. Beyond all of this, Josh knows all things are possible ONLY through Jesus Christ, and without God he would be nothing. Josh is in pursuit of continuing to grow with the gifts God has given him and is willing to work as hard as possible to keep reaching for greater things.
