Angela received her undergraduate degree in accounting and an MBA degree in Finance with honors from the University of Tennessee. She is a Certified Public Accountant, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, a member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, a member on the research and development board of Chayil, Inc., and a former board member of the ORNL Federal Credit Union.In making various strategic transitions throughout her career, Angela’s collection of diverse skills from various promotions and leadership positions in small companies to large, global Fortune 500 corporations proved her to be quite valuable by improving earnings through tactics that increased revenues and reduced expenditures, executed process improvements and implemented financial systems that resulted in significant cost savings, reduced inventory shrinkage, and automated/integrated departmental functions. Angela has been promoted to and sought after for coveted financial positions from regional manager to chief financial officer. She also led successful projects in corporate mergers and acquisitions, budgeting and forecasting, financial modeling, contract negotiations, Sarbanes Oxley compliance, and is Greenbelt trained in the Six Sigma methodology for process improvement.With her wealth of experience, Angela was invited to join ING, a leader in global financial services, in 2002 to head the Corporate Disbursement Shared Services Center for the Americas where she was responsible for over $1.2 billion annually in cash transactions. At ING, her main focus was on the department migration to an automated and electronic environment. During her tenure, Angela belted significant successes including transforming and automating the Disbursement Shared Services Center, leading the department to be platinum certified as an Accredited Payables Department with Distinction, realizing cash recoveries and savings of over $5.6 million, was the National Chair of an employee network of over 500 members, and won the 2005 ING Leadership Award.Angela paralleled her corporate career with business experience in the entertainment industry through tax preparation and planning, financial accounting, budget preparation and target setting, contract and compensation reviews, radio station management, and exposure to entertainment law. Additionally, with more than 13 years experience in the entertainment industry as a professional artist, Angela has conducted music and financial workshops, appeared in film, worked with top musical entertainers in gospel and contemporary Christian music, directed choral groups, and truly understands the business from an artist’s perspective including the pitfalls of those who do not understand the business of music or how to effectively manage their financial affairs.Angela now stands at the helm of new success in The Alegna Group, Inc., an entertainment financial management company headquartered in Atlanta, GA.
