Whether it is in my role as an entertainment attorney, professor, artist, or entrepreneur, I thouroughly enjoy my calling. My day gig allows me to blend my passions of music, law, and teaching at Middle Tennessee State University, where I am a professor in the Department of Recording Industry. My classes include Copyright Law, Legal Problems in The Recording Industry, Legal Rights of Creative Individuals, and Commercial Songwriting.I've been practicing law since 1991 and have spent the greater part of my career assisting recording artists, indie record labels, and various business enterprises as they maximize their opportunities. My clients have won Grammy, Stellar, and Dove awards. gold, platinum, and multi-platinum albums, and have written songs used in hit films. Other clients have been involved in various productions for the small and large screen as writers, producers, and directors. I am based in Nashville, TN - Music City USA and my areas of expertise include entertainment, copyright and intellectual property issues, contracts, government contracts, and business counseling.
