The Rapper On Fire

About Me

They say music might answer all the questions but you might need a few clues to how MC Inferno has got to the level he is today. With an already impressive track record, there seems to be no stopping him, but how?
Inferno took to music since he could pick instruments up and taking a particular intrest in lyrics, he began rapping almost 5 years ago. After making a couple of tapes and getting good feedback of friends and onlookers, he began to go professional in 2005.
In 2006, MC Inferno took over the underground of Liverpool hip hop. Releases of more demo's and small EP releases built up his credibility, rounded up as a runner up in at Streetwaves 2006, he beat over 60 other rappers and singers to the runner-up space in Liverpool's Own Urban Idol, became known for gigs and shows as often as possible and started to attend a B-Tech Music Technology course and getting more involved in the beats, behind the bars.
His commercial hit was 2007. Often asked about new material hitting the streets, the EP "Curriculum Vitae" was released on 5th Jan 2007 to a great response from critics and fans alike with backing from BBC 1Xtra, BBC Asian Network, Urbeatz Radio's Hi-Def Show, Liverpool Echo's head of music Kate Mansey & more.
In May 2007, Inferno would release Keep It On The DL, a free download album to keep the hype build. Inferno returned to Streetwaves (after taking runner up place the year before) and this time took the winners crown. Stepping up his game with gigs too, he took on major shows such as:
Creamfields 2007 (featuring artists such as Kelis, Groove Amarda, Chemical Brothers & more)
Matthew Street Festival (world famous, biggest festival in history to date)
Liverpool's 800th year celebrations
If that wasnt enough, Inferno was awarded unsigned artist of the month by BBC Liverpool in August (click here). Now, Inferno's back. After fading out of the limelight to work on his new LP for 2008, the preview songs are being raved about already, such as BBC Liverpool naming him an artist to look out for in 2008 (click here).Inferno is, well, as he puts it himself, "Inferno's position always rising like the crime-rate".
