In reality, Shawn John has been involved in the music business for 15 years, supporting and developing the pirate radio music scene and club events in the 1990’s.This early dedication brought with it the luxury of working with major UK and US acts such as Beverley Knight, Kelis, Kano and Lemar, and on a personal level gave Spy the opportunity to relocate from his home, spurring his driving force North as Radio City 96.7 (largest commercial station in the UK outside London), offered him the chance to host one of the biggest Hip Hop & R&B shows in the North of England, called the ‘Hotspot’, but forever moving with the times he now presents a new saturday night show called "THE LOCK-IN", under his alias and REAL name, SHAWN JOHN....
