Without a doubt DJ OLABEAN is one of the most innovative and creative DJ's to come out of the North West of England. His talents have taken him from Djing and promoting club events to music production and artist management, also hosting Liverpools Sony award wining premier Black Music show on Juice Fm TOPNOTCH SHOW.DJ OLABEAN started his career like most DJ's, from the bedroom, spinning vinyl for hours daily until he mastered the art of turntablism. OLABEAN alongside DJ KOFI decided to enter the Northwest heats of the UK DJ Mixing Championships (D.M.C). After crushing all competition Ola took the title as the NW Mixing Champion he then went on to the UK Mixing Champion finals and came runner up.After the DMC, OLABEAN showcased his turntable skills all over the UK and abroad. Ola's most memorable moment was after an array of DJ battle tricks that led to destroying a 1210 he received a standing ovation in Zurich (Switzerland), this secured club dates from promoters in Bern, Basil and Zurich for the following 4 years after.OLABEAN has been involved in one of the UK's hottest Dj Crew THE HITMEN along with heavy hitters DJ SEMTEX, DJ KOFI, SHORTEE BLITZ and DAVY DIAMOND. OLABEAN stated "it was an honour to be amongst kings".Presently OLABEAN alongsige his crew Topnotch are fast making a name in music industry as top Rnb/Hip Hop producers and song writers, with production credits for the likes of Destinys Child, Mariah Carey, Ashanti, Ja Rule and Atomic Kitten.Topnotch have a list of artists they have produced and written for who are currently active within the music industry. Topnotch have recently finished a project with RnB singer Lucy Lawrence, who has just signed a record deal with Will-I-am from the Black Eye Peas on his new label. Olabean hosts Liverpools premiere Hip hop Rnb and Dancehall show called TOPNOTCH SHOW on 107.6 JUICE FM every SUNDAY 7pm till 10pm which has featured artists such as The Game, Floetry, Young Jeezy, Pussy Cat Dolls, G-Unit, Tearre Marie, Mobb Deep, M's Dynamite, Bobby Valentino to name but a few, the show dedicates support to up and coming unsigned artists aslo.Olabean is also currently working and developing artists from all over the UK but coming from Toxteth their heart is set in developing local acts.
