2005
It all started when Jonathan and Emil were looking for two new band members. They had recently been part of another band, but it didn’t work out. Both Jonathan and Emil played guitar and now they were in need of a drummer, a bass player and a singer. Luckily, they found out about Lovisa and Mathias, Lovisa who was singing and playing bass, and Mathias who played drums. They formed a band called Unknown and started to rehearse in Jonathans studio.
2006
The band got a real place for rehearsing and started to write their own songs. During the summer they recorded their first demo in a real studio, â€Tell that to the marinesâ€. They changed their name to "Maricon" and started to perform more live gigs. Lovisa moved to Stockholm, and the band decided to quit. But after a while she decided to move back.
2007
This year the band participated in the music contests Rockkarusellen and MusikDirekt, and it really worked out for them. They moved on to the finals and wan the Rockkarusellen. The band started to get more recognized and performed over 40 gigs that year alone. They recorded their second demo â€Maricon was here†and changed their name once again. They're now called â€The Majority Saysâ€.
2008
The band was crowned as “the best Stockholm live act 2008†in the music contest Emergenza (also best guitarists of the year). They’re now writing new songs and preparing for upcoming gigs this summer. Keep your eyes open…
