About Me

Although growing up in a non-musical family, it was never far away and a love of music has formed part of Jon's life since an early age. He has learnt to play a number of different instruments over the years, some more successfully than others, progressing through to the higher grades on one or two and focusing mainly on the study of classical music. He is eternally grateful for the support of his long suffering family, especially when he was learning to 'play' a new instrument !
After taking a break from playing for a number of years, a love of folk music has rekindled his enthusiasm and in January 2007 Jon started to learn the melodeon, taught by the fantastic Ed Rennie. Thanks must go to Ed and the Devon Squeezebox Foundation for making this possible. Jon is also a member of the Folk Orchestra of North Devon, organised by Nick Wyke and Becki Driscoll.
Professionally Jon works for a high-tech engineering company based in Devon where he designs and develops software systems mainly for aerospace applications.
He also has an interest in high-end audio equipment and is starting to generate a reputation in the audio community for modifying commercial equipment.
