Unending Grymness performed live at Unholy Thursday 20/3/08.Varraghor was started in 2003 by David and Nick. After enlisting the services of Tom and Warwick, Varraghor proceeded to write music of the most vile type. From the very start, an emphasis was put on speed and raw brutality, rather than technicality. This outlook led to early songs such as "Eating Goats" and "Descent Into Hell".After a period of hibernation in the cold wintery depths of the port hills, where Varraghor made various underground recordings, they played their first performance, to a surprisingly receptive crowd. Technical difficulties and a short set ensured that the band stayed true to their black metal origins. More performances followed, focusing on an aggressive and uncompromising approach to black metal. After months of songwriting, a new guitarist, Geoff, was added to the fold, bringing a new musical perspective into the band. Songs were re-arranged and made faster and more complex. At the end of 2006 and the beginning of 2007 Varraghor recorded a demo titled "Desolation" with the use of an 8-track in the band rehearsal space. This demo was praised for having a raw production style which complimented the 6 tracks contained on it.Shortly after completing the demo Mike joined the band on vocals, taking the band to a new level of aggression and ferocity. The newest demo entitled "Butchered In Berlin was then recorded and is now available through Sound of Charge Records from France.Writing for Varraghor's first full length is currently in progress. Expect heavier, faster more blasphemous material!
