Torch of Darkness was born during the summer of 2008, when Donn (from Teutoburg Forest) approched Namhaid (Profundum Vita) proposing a collaboration project. The aim was to create a genuine expression of emotion that was not focused upon any genre of music, but rather a unhindered expression of self. Donn saw potential with Namhaid's composing skills and so agreed that Namhaids took the lead with the initial concepts of the songs, which would be given to Donn to mold into the final products (as well as composing some material himself for the project). We intend to produce a full length album of eleven songs, narrating the tale of Cain (the first murder according to the indo-iranian culture). Though the songs currently up do not have a general theme, one with a clear mind can see into the subtle names have darker connotations. Love or despise this project, it is of no consequence, as long as the individual (being the creators of this project) are satisfied with their creation of the imagination unlimited, then the project has served its purpose.
