Come on baby, let me thrill your soul

About Me

ABOUT ADDING ME - I AM ON MYSPACE BECAUSE I AM IN BANDS AND I PROMOTE THEM, SO IF YOU DON'T WANT TO SEE BULLETINS ABOUT WHAT'S GOING ON WITH MY BANDS, DON'T ADD ME. I ALSO HAVE FRIENDS THAT I KEEP IN TOUCH WITH HERE. I HAVE A HUSBAND, SO IF YOU TRY TO STALK ME, I'LL DELETE YOU. WE ARE VERY BUSY AND I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR BULLSHIT. IF YOU WANT TO ADD ME BECAUSE YOU'RE BUILDING YOUR FRIENDS LIST, THEN DON'T BOTHER. IF YOU'RE A ROCKER, AN ARTIST, HAVE SIMILAR INTERESTS AS ME AND LIVE IN AUSTIN, WE JUST MIGHT BECOME "FRIENDS." ATTENTION BANDS - IF I LIKE YOU, I'LL REQUEST YOU MYSELF. PLEASE GO TO MY BAND PAGES AND ADD US: Sabbath Crow and Rhoades D'Ablo and the Devil's Right Hand
The thing I have loved longest in life is MUSIC. It is an all-consuming passion, whether it's playing, listening, watching or just thinking about it. It always makes me tear up, not because it's necessarily sad, but because it's so damn good, it just always gets me! It gives me chills, chokes me up, knocks me down and resurrects me. My life was saved by rock 'n roll. Most people worship God or Satan...I worship music. I listen when I'm sleeping, when I'm working, of course when I'm driving, basically all the time.
I've been to so many concerts and shows that I can't even count or remember some of them anymore. My first was The Untouchables at UCI in Irvine, February 13, 1987. Back in the late eighties, I saw AC/DC, Motley Crue, Iron Maiden, Echo and the Bunnymen, Guns 'n Roses, The Rolling Stones. In the nineties I saw The Scorpions, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, BB King, Five Blind Boys of Alabama, Etta James, CoCo Taylor, Bobby "Blue" Bland, Robert Cray, Johnny Winters, John Lee Hooker, The Meteors, Babyland, Grateful Dead, Jerry Garcia Band, Allman Brothers Band, Phish, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Rage Against the Machine, Cypress Hill, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tool, Alice in Chains, Blind Melon, Ice Cube, Screaming Trees, Pat Benatar, Eric Clapton, Elton John, Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Morphine, A Tribe Called Quest, Fu Manchu, Spaceboy, Dick Dale, Santana, The Black Crowes, Bob Dylan, Porno for Pyros, George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, Les Claypool, and the Holy Mackrel, Primus, Mermen, Mudhoney, Melvins, REM, Mike Watt, Love & Rockets, Suicidal Tendencies, Infectious Grooves, Jon Specer Blues Explosion, Jello Biafra, Beastie Boys and GWAR. Since 2000, I've seen Les Claypool, Oysterhead, Fugazi, Supersuckers, Tenacious D, Hank III/Assjack, Mojo Nixon, The Kills, Reverend Horton Heat, Bob Dylan, Daniel Ash, Hubert Sumlin & Pinetop Perkins, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Tomahawk, Melvins, Henry Rollins & Rollins Band, Pere Ubu, Rocket from the Tombs, David Byrne, John Fogerty and more I know I'm forgetting! Since we've been in Austin, the biggest concerts we've been to are Eagles of Death Metal, Blue Cheer and Joan Jett. We play and go to local shows all the time and we're just not into the big show atmosphere anymore. I also saw Jim Carey and Tim Allen before they were known. I've been to WWF Smackdown and Royal Rumble, PBR Rodeo and Angola Prison Rodeo, the horse races a bunch, Dodgers and Angels games when I was a kid, NOLA Jazz Fest, House of Shock, Graceland twice and I've seen the mighty George Carlin.
I have 9 different basses - my newest, the Rickenbacker, my two Reverends, which are by far my favorites. They are Rumblefishes and I am very lucky to have them, because Reverend does not make basses anymore. But, if you play guitar, you should check them out: Reverend Guitars . I also have two Danelectros - which actually prompted me to get the Reverends, a five-string, my first bass - an old Kramer with the aluminum neck and forked headstock and an Aria Pro Flying V that I just got from Looney and a violin bass. I have been told that I play in a way that most bassists are afraid to play and that I defy the typical chick bassist stereotype. Yay!! Come see me ROCK sometime. Click the links to check out my bands here on MySpace: Sabbath Crow and Rhoades D'Ablo and the Devil's Right Hand .
The bass players I most love are:
John Entwistle (my favorite bass line is all of "Don't Get Fooled Again" - it's brilliant!)
Phil Lynott (SO HOT! Every time I hear any Thin Lizzy music, I feel so happy, like summer vacation. And I love his voice.)
Mike Watt (One of my favorite albums of all time is fIREHOSE "Ragin'FullOn")
But really, there is no one who is more of a baddass than Lemmy!!
One of my all time favorite albums is Merle Haggard's "My Love Affair with Trains." For information on the album and lyrics, go here: Hag

Music:

Well, since music is my greatest passion in life, if I were to list everything I was into, it would take way too much time. Check out all the concerts I've seen in the "About Me" section, that will give you a clue. Some of that I'm still into, a bunch of it, I'm not. So, I'll just list what I've really been into lately and update it now and then. I like every type of music, except most pop music from like the mid 90's to now. Most of it's just crap. I LOVE Rock 'n Roll, it's my favorite and what I just can't get enough of. The music scene here in Austin is unbelievable! There are so many great bands - Amplified Heat, Split Hoof, SuperHeavyGoatAss, Street Light Suzie, Rubber Robot, The Quick and the Dead, Adrian and the Sickness, New Disaster, Oklahomos, Dixie Witch, Honky, Flametrick Subs, One Eyed Doll, Ironclad, Trash Rockets, The Urgencies, etc...

My favorite bands from New Orleans are Hazard County Girls, Suplecs, Rhoades D'Ablo and the Devil's Right Hand, Buddy Luv Cult, Stephie and the Whitesox, The Belfry Bats . I basically can't go too long without listening to: Tom Waits, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Mudhoney, Morphine, Melvins, AC/DC, Jimi Hendrix, Screaming Jay Hawkins, Howlin' Wolf, Them, The Sonics, Love and Rockets, Hank III , Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, Soundgarden , The Misfits , Danzig , fIREHOSE, Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Black Sabbath, Dead Kennedys, ELO, Monster Magnet, Motorhead, The Stooges, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Who, The Cramps, Van Morrison, Pere Ubu, Television, Toadies, The Clash, T Rex, Blues Explosion , The Black Crowes, The Rolling Stones, The Velvet Underground and THIN LIZZY!
