RD D4MD

MC RD started out as MC Ricky D mc'ing at local parties for a couple of years before joining Shorty in the beginning of ’99 to form Fractured Beats Institute. His vocal talents didn’t go unnoticed and he was soon offered residencies at events like Dnb’n sculptures, Inside, Phuturesteppin’ and at Rumba alongside Belgian dj’s like Wontime, System D, Murdock, Brekbit and Bassment. He later became an in demand MC at many events both nationally as well as abroad giving him the opportunity to play alongside the likes of Fabio, D Bridge, Storm, Flight, Martyn, Nu:Tone, High Contrast, Loxy, Digital, Spirit, Simon Bassline Smith, Technical Itch, Moving Fusion, Usual Suspects, Vicious Circle, Hive, Spor, Pendulum, Dom & Roland, Matrix, Konflict, Baron, Dieselboy, Stakka & Skynet, Sappo, Red One, Kontrol, Futurebound, Vector Burn, Subfocus as well as warming up for Andy C, Nicky Blackmarket, Marky, Ray Keith, Randall, Teebee, Adam F, Matrix, Dj Lee, Survival, Break, Mason, Jubei, Probe amongst many others. In 2002 he started to promote his own events under the D4MD banner in collaboration with long time underground promoters Democrazy to add some different vibes to the Belgian dnb scene. In 2004 Shorty and Ricky D ended their long-time collaboration when Shorty stepped out of the dnb circuit. Ricky D became RD and decided to continue solo. He has since played several gigs and festivals around belgium such as Dour, Pukkelpop, Ten Days Off, Mystic, Steam, Warning, Amen, Bass XL and Rhumble to name but a few... The saga continues...
