About Me


Bambu saw the light of day way back in 97 as part of the infamous FLB crew out of Antwerp, consisting then out of dj's, producers and graffiti artists focussing on artistic and creative freedom.
At first it was an outlet for the hybrid sound of jungle by no ther means but mixtapes, but as the members grew apart bambu remained the heart and soul of dj dice. Several incarnations, hibernations and mutations later it now consists of 5 dj's and a visual artist and encompasses every creative passion of it's members. Be it visual art in the form of video's or graphics, be it musical everything should always remain a possibility for boundaries to be explored.
So far we've had radio and internet shows, guest appearances and residencies, hosted our own night and participated in an online movement to promote styles of music left for dead or abandoned. Not for self promotion or ego, but simply out of love.
The music: drum and bass.
The love: music.
The interest: all things good in life.
Bambu is more than just drum and bass, mind.
We are known for our eclectic tastes, which we like to share with our audience. So from time to time we take to the road with a bag full of old soul, funk, hip hop, broken beat, garage, deephouse, dub, reggae, dancehall, dubstep and everything else we feel like playing to create a truly eclectic experience and to share our love with the people.
Be on the look out for bambu in 2006 as we will venture into other media.
