We're The A.I.M. which stands for American Indian Music. We have to point that out that because many confuse us with a slightly more notable organization whose members are of the same nomenclature. The A.I.M. is a hip hop crew from San Diego, California. We hail from the Viejas Band of Kumeyaay Indians and The Campo Band of Kumeyaay Indians. The crew is built around principle songwriter Blue Eagle Vigil (Viejas) and we released our debut CD called 'Contents Under Pressure' in 2006. The A.I.M. officially formed in July 2005 but many of the members were M.C.ing on the underground circuit together for several years. Some members of the crew had experienced prior underground success including Halo of Papa House Records. 'Contents...' features collaborations with mainstream artists such as DJ Ralph M of Funkdoobiest, Brea of Deep Rooted, and Mr. Shadow. We appreciate the indie label help from producer/promoter Adrian Brown (Viejas) who made the whole project a reality. The 'Contents Under Pressure' CD was nominated for Best Rap/Hip Hop Recording at The 2006 Indian Summer Festival Held in Milwaukee, WS: thank you ISMA board for the honor. The A.I.M. is currently working on the follow up CD which includes collaborations with mainstream artists such as Cricket and Spice 1 as well as a dose of collab's with the hardest warriors in the Native American Rap scene including Nightshield, Maniac and Quese Imc.
