Giancarlo

Panama native percussionist Giancarlo Anderson has oven fifteen years performance experience in the Latin and pop music scenes as well as in musical theater in Panama and New York City. Giancarlo started his musical training in the "Panama Conservatory of Music" and "Fine Arts School of the University of Panama, Music Dept.". He also hold a BA in Graphic Design. In 2003, he moved to New York City where he took private instruction with some of the most well-known percussionist and drummers in NYC. His musical theater experience includes the Off-Broadway musicals Damn Yankees and Godspell. Currently, besides being a well known percussionist in the local scene, he also takes time to share his experience in some public schools' after schools programs. At the present time, Mr. Anderson is an active member of some salsa bands and Afro-Cuban Jazz Orchestras in the area, while he continues his studies in Music Education at Hunter College.
