NY based Japanese Trombone player,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,He has been very active in the New York City Jazz, Latin Jazz, and Salsa scene. He has toured with legendary Cuban pianist Bebo Valdes (Chucho's father) in Spain, with Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra directed by Arturo O'Farrill in Greece, Switzerland and US, and has performed with McCoy Tyner, Paquito D'Rivera, Steve Turre, Arturo O'Farrill, Papo Pepin, Ray Santos, Johnny Colon, Andy Gonzalez, Luis Bonilla, Chino Nunez, David Sanchez, Dave Valentin, Nicky Marrero, Albita, Tito Puente Jr., Oscar Brown Jr., Jerry "the Iceman" Butler, the Village Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, the Mingus Big Band, Latin Giants of Jazz, Chico O'Farrill the Afro-Cuban Jazz Orchestra, Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra directed by Arturo O'Farrill, the Ray Charles Orchestra, Frank Lacy's Vibe Tribe, and the Brooklyn Big Band. He has also appeared at top venues such as Birdland, The Blue Note, Jazz Standard, Iridium, Sweet & Rhythm, SOB's, The Village Vanguard, Minton's Playhouse, Zinc Bar and Smoke.Currently Kaji is a trombonist for La Excelencia, Papo Pepin, Johnny Colon, Rigo Y Su Combo Ecua-Jey.
