Little G. Weevil the South London, UK based guitarist, singer and songwriter was born in 1977 and began playing the guitar at the age of 17. He was introduced and captivated by the Blues scene through listening to the legendary Blues musician John Lee Hooker." John Lee Hooker and his Blues was for me like my grandfather and the tales he used to tell. When i first heard the songs Hobo Blues and the I Never Get Out Of This Blues Alive i thought to myself God, i am part of this, i feel it, i belong to this. "Ever since Little G. started his Blues career he has focused solely on the Southern Blues and this can be clearly heard in his playing style.He established his own touring band in 1998. With his deep powerful voice and his ability to become one with his guitar, attention focused upon Little G. very early in his career. He released his first single CD ( Chump Change ) with his band Pure Blues in 2001. After 3 years touring succesfully within Europe Little G. released his first album ( One ) in 2004.In the same year he relocated to the South of the United States where he became the very first European Blues musician to receive a long-term contract on the legendary Beale Street, Memphis, TN.Little G. has performed on numerous occasions in Beale Street's famous Blues clubs and has toured in the States of Alabama, Mississippi and Arkansas. He has performed at one of the world's most famous Blues Festivals,- the King Biscuit Festival, Helena, Arkansas - with Lonnie Shields and Big Jack Johnson.During his career he has jammed with many well known musicians such as:
Anson Funderburgh, Sam Myers, Larry Garner, Shemekia Copeland, Calvin Jones, Mark Hummel, E. G. Kight, Billy Gibson, Toni Green, Big Jack Johnson, Lonnie Shields,Ms. Zeno The Louisiana Mojo Queen, Sharrie Williams and has toured with the UK's Ian Siegal. He has opened up for the likes of: the Soul Legend Terry Evans, The King of The Louisiana Zydeco C. J. Chenier, The Neville Brothers and Denise Lasalle. Little G. has also been in the company of legends such as: Pinetop Perkins, Bob Margolin, Hubert Sumlin, David Honeyboy Edwards, John Hammond, Clarence Gatemouth Brown, Willie King and Bobby Rush.
