Look out space cadets we are firing all Retro Rockets and heading for the middle of the 20th century.
It doesnt matter if you rock, boogie, swing, jump, jive or wail, this is the band that will pilot all you Hip Katz into a brave new world where no man has dared venture before.
The Retro Rockets are fuelled with the kind of gas that you would only expect to get from another world far, far away.
Since the band formed in 2003 they have gone way beyond their wildest dreams. Their first CD Cameras Lights Action is about to go into a second hot pressing with continued orders coming in for more copies from fans around Australia and other parts of the universe. The 2nd CD Rockets Are Go is having an even stronger impression than the first. The Retro Rockets continue to play in major Jump Joints around Newcastle including Pippis, Mayfield ExServices and Queens Wharf Brewery. They have also been featured on the NBN evening news, TheToday Show on channel 10 and Channel Vs 50 minutes. In 2005 they played to capacity crowds at the Hunter Valleys Groove In The Moo concert, the V.V.M.Cs Thunderwest Bike Show and the Wintersun Festival on the Queensland Gold Coast. In 2006 you will see them back at Wintersun as well as the headline act for the Kurri Kurri Nostalgia Festival, The Beach Hop in New Zealand, The Happy Dayz Rockn Roll weekend in Wingham and Greazefest in Brisbane. The Beach Hop concerts will be filmed for DVD release later in 2006. Each year just keeps getting more exciting for these Retro Space Cadets.
