The Whisky Rebellion is a band fronted by Alex Battles, a Brooklyn, NY based classic country singer songwriter. By turns funny and bittersweet, his major songwriting influences are Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, John Prine, Tom Waits and Tom T. Hall. His goal is to appear on Prairie Home Companion someday.

Battles is also the founder and host of the Brooklyn Country Msuic Festival and the CasHank Hootenanny Jamboree , a monthly open acoustic classic country jam session dedicated to the music of Hank Williams and Johnny Cash. Stop on by and say hello!
