About Me

BrooklynCountry.com

Our mission at Brooklyncountry.com is fairly simple. We intend to promote music we love to people who love our type of music.

We intend to create a clearinghouse for Country/Americana/Alt.country/Etc musicians and fans to connect with each other, make their presence known, make friends, promote shows and recordings and pass the time of day.

We intend to create diverse and satisfying musical occasions, gigs and informational content.

We intend to give our members a great experience, whether it’s opportunity to promote an artist or band, be eligible for our awards ceremony, get into our events at a discounted price, vote for your favorite bands to be honored or just support a worthy cause.

But above all we want to keep real country music viable and present in New York City.

What is Brooklyn Country?

Brooklyn Country is the culmination of centuries of musical folklore, picking and tunesmithing.

It’s a brand of music that openly identifies with its Americana roots.

It celebrates stories and melodies and earthy rhythms that haven’t gone out of style since their inception.

New York is jam-packed with phenomenal music of all stripes. We think the Americana/Roots/Real Country scene in is something to be proud of and nurture. It may not be avant-garde, or stylized or hip. But goddamnit, it’s a lot of fun. And it’s great art too. So check out the artists and events detailed on this website. Become a member. Stay a while. We think you’ll like it.
