We strive on musical honesty in our purest vision. All four members have fought the sparce local Montgomery, Al rock scene for at least the past ten years. Although we have all managed some success in our previous efforts, none goes as unnoticed as Jason Singleton's previous/current effort drumming for Montgomery, Al local favorite and major label recording/touring group Trust Company. Front man Nick Frontiero tasted local success in a previous band called For the Drive Home, while both guitarist and bassist Michael Baker and Daniel Jones received the same success in another local favorite band Daytrader.
Michael joined the group in December of 2007, but Arm in Arms formed during the early spring of 2006 with former guitarist Brandon Chalker who is now in a local band called Vection that shared guitar responsibility along with Nick on our first full length recording. As we began on our journey, we all dedicated ourselves to writing music without any boundaries. Which explains why we stumbled on a little bit of a different song writing direction than most had anticipated. The drums on our first self driven independent unreleased record entitled One Step, One Sound, One Destination twelve track full length was recorded/engineered by long time friend Jamie Uertz at former guitarist Brandon Chalker's house in Wetumpka, Al.
The rest of the session was continued at Nick's house engineered by Jamie Uertz and recorded by both Nick Frontiero and Jamie Uertz off and on over the period of several months. The music was orchestrated so fast, the full length's vocals were written, tracked, and produced by Nick himself during the same session. The recording was mixed by both Jamie and the band, but mastered by Rodney Mills. Soon after we finished the recording the band decided to split up. It is at this time (August 2007) Brandon moved on to Vection, and Jason rejoined with Trust Company. During our time apart, we decided to regroup to give our recording a proper release, continue to write more honest music together, and to get back out there doing shows to support our release.
Unfortunately Brandon could not join us, but we are extremely confident in Michael's abilities to help pick up where we left off.
We were correct with our decision, and immediately started writing music that has yet to be recorded. We definitely feel like we have taken our sound to a new level, and patiently await for our next studio endeavors so we can share with you all. In the meantime, we look forward to throwing in a few new ideas here and there during our live sets in the future. Turning on anyone to a new idea is difficult....... you are finding out just as much about us musically as we do writing the material. We continue to challenge each other, and we're sure we continue to challenge the world with our musical experiments. We hope to acquire fans that help spread the word about us, as this idea is a total team effort. And we need all the help we can get to reach new listeners. So in theory you are just as important as we are. If you enjoy our idea, then pass it along to more like minded ears. In the process we hope that all of you continue to grow with us, as we continue together as a band.
Your friendship is welcomed and very much appreciated. We thank you..... this is a musical journey that involves everyone. We look forward to getting our record press/printed and distributed to share with as many as possible. And hopefully get our live show into as many cities as possible. We look forward to the future, which we hope is rich with unlimited creativity accompanied by endless possibilities. We have planted our seed.
