INFLAMMABLE MATERIAL...

About Me

The Indecision Alarm is a band based in a shitty little industrial town called Katrineholm, Sörmland, Sweden. We formed the band early spring 2006 out of past and present glories (or failures?) from bands like Union Square, Adhesive, Straitjacket Generation and Anguish. The Indecision Alarm is all about energetic and sincere, melodic punk'n roll meets emotional hardcore with a combination of political and personal lyrics.
"The Indecision Alarm, 3/4 Adhesive, is anything but an "ex-so-and-so" band! This band really gets how to write great material, and they are dangling elements of all kinds of writing styles over their hardcore undercoat..."
The result is another air-tight and well-written hardcore record. All the musical elements still sit under a blanket of DELIVERED, socially conscious vocal harmonies. TIA really mean what they say and you can HEAR it. And new guitar quirks and textures nail, but tint that Adhesive sound into something new...The Indecision Alarm! But all in all, despite all the nice music, it's also about the sheer sincerity of TIA that is moving them forward on this track they always seem to progress on. They're just a really fucking great punk band. I don't know how to get it across any better.
Fans of I-Spy, Propagandhi, Husker Du, Minor Threat and Face to Face (probably up to the black album) will probably dig this sound a lot. Oh and Adhesive. Duh.
You have to love honest/good people playing great sounding, sincere and honest punk rock. Very very cool indeed!"

...of emo-influenced punk-rock goodness and demonstrates how heartfelt music can actually be. Touching vocals, outstanding guitar-work and powerful rhythms result in a cocktail that is plain irresistible and needs to be heard. Imagine a faster and even more anthemic version of early HOT WATER MUSIC, add some spine-shivering GAMEFACE-like fragility here and there plus a solid amount of hardcore-energy and you have THE INDECISION ALARM. ...No fake, no bullshit, just unfiltered emotion...

Influences: THIS IS NOT A MANIFESTO:

Still, with our music we try to illuminate issues that affects us all in one way or another; the insane consumption of the industrialized countries v/s the global starvation, the relationship between big business and governments on a global, national and regional level, the crucial conflict in capitalism between the class who owns and the class who generates wealth and unnecessary luxury for a chosen elite, the inevitable struggle for the realisation of a society without class-, race- and gender related oppression to name of few. This world is a fucked up place where a little fraction of fucked up people dictates the set of conditions for billions of people.
That is really fucked up!

THE MUSIC, THE MESSAGE:

Well, it plays a big part of our lifes. To us, the Indecision Alarm is all about spot on politics and awareness from an unpresuming leftist angle, amplified with our version of the music we are raised with and love. If our music and lyrics can work as a source of inspiration for anyone, as in starting a band of their own, arming themselfes with some social awereness, or, even actively engage themselfes in important and urgent issues; we've succeeded to go further than being another band just here to entertain.
However, with that said; we would never ever, even in our wildest dreams ever think of excluding anyone interested in our music, but not in our lyrics or vice verse.
