Grooveliker has always been involved in some kind of activity connected with music. In the late 80s and early 90s he organized and played at parties with all kinds of alternative music: industrial, new beat, electro body music, gothic, etc. For a few years he was also involved in organizing and helping at organizing concerts and tours of independent bands coming to Poland (post punk, noise, industrial, punk, hardcore, etc.). He consequently became interested in new genres of electronic music, including what was later called 'techno'.
In 1997, together with two friends, he established a small independent company called CITY BEATS - they released CDs and cassettes, sold vinyl from many international labels all over Poland as a mail-order shop and also booked both Polish and famous international djs for parties all over the country. For good few years, Grooveliker's trademark were london style underground techno and acid techno. He played at many small, underground parties all over the country and also at numerous squat parties and so-called teqnivals.
He is personally responsible for bringing many respected underground artists and famous international djs to Poland - due to his passionate approach towards music, personal contacts and dedication, Polish crowds saw for the first time the talents of e.g. Henry Cullen aka Dave the Drummer, Oxia, Rowland The Bastard, Leandro Gamez, Emerson, Cyber Steve, Cristian Varela, Julian Sandell aka Julian Liberator, Preach, Southsoniks, DDR, Tom Hades, Takaaki Itoh, Brian Sanhaji, Oliver Ho, Robert Natus, Alex Flatner, Mark Tyler, Jack de Marseille, Gizelle, Asem Shama, Ant, Pounding Grooves, Glenn Wilson, Alex Bau and many more. Among some other artists that thanks to his efforts have played in Poland once, twice, or, in some cases, several times, have been also e.g. Chris Liberator, Holgi Star, Massimo, Lawrie Immersion, Chris Liebing, Gaetano Parisio, Rino Cerrone, Eric Sneo, Rafael Araujo, James Ruskin, Dave Shokh, Marco Remus, Zebedee, The Doorkeeper and many more
Grooveliker’s taste in dance music has been constantly changing and getting broader and broader. These days Grooveliker is most interested in a mixture of various shades of electrotech/ tech-house and some funky techno , also sometimes adding a bit of other styles on top of it. Together with JAKUB RENE KOSIK, GROOVELIKER runs a few musical projects: LINCOLN SIX-ECHO, TERROR SMITH, GROOVELIKER & JRK, JORDAN TWO DELTA, etc.
In 2006, with great help from Jakub, he launched Citybeats Records, an imprint consisting of four separate digital labels (Urbantek, Urbantech, Urbanhouse and Urbanelectro), each dedicated to a different genre. Their releases can be obtained via JUNODOWNLOAD and TRACKITDOWN plus all their associated shops.
At the end of 2006 Grooveliker and Jakub signed contracts with Peppermint Jam/ProgCity Records and Plastic City. Their 12inch vinyl "FEEL SO GOOD", released in November 2006 on ProgCity, met with great feedback from respected artists, including e.g. Electric Indigo, Mousse T, Tube & Berger, Eddie Amador, Joy Kitikonti, Pete Heller, Freddy Turner, Eric Entrena and many others. Their first PLASTIC CITY EP was released in March 2007 and reached the number one position in JUNO bestselling minimal/tech-house charts, also doing very well with other retailers. It's been canned by the likes of Terry Lee Brown Jr, The Timewriter, Loco Dice, Sian, Satoshi Fumi, etc. to name but a few. Their more techno-directed releases under the "GROOVELIKER & JRK" name has met with an enthusiastic reaction and has been played already by the mighty DJ Preach, Alexander Koning, DJ Murphy, Max Graham, Clodagh, Lenny Dee, to name just a few. They also have a release, "Predator", on Alexander Koning's Travels Records, a label that has released records by artists such as Leandro Gamez, Sebastien Leger, Joel Mull, Valentino Kanzyani, Marko Nastic, Da Goose, Ignition Technician, Inaf, Mhonolink, Preach and Alexander Koning.
