I have been a music collector since my childhood, back in 1966. I grew up listening to a big musical mess made up from my parents and brothers' records like tango, bolero, classical, jovem guarda, tropicalia, mpb (brazilian popular music). At the age of 14 I got my very first Motown record, which was Jackson 5's ABC, pretty much influenced by J5's cartoon on TV. By the way, a good part of my musical background in my teen years was influenced by soap opera's soundtracks, which is quite tipical when you live in the country side of Brazil in the 70's.in the 80's I moved to São Paulo and after four bloddy years checking and stappling bills behind a desk at a bank, I got a job at a radio station and quickly got in touch with djs and promoters from a legendary club called Madame Satã. That was my very first residency. At that time São Paulo's club scene was going through a transition between disco and the beginning of the new wave. Right after this me and my friends got our first house records coming from the US and Europe. It's been 20 years now and I still enjoy to make people dance and love music as long as it delivers emotion and fun.
