I am a Video Maker and a VJ. My interest for the visuals and sounds universe, started when I studied Cinematography in California, in the late 70s. At that time, I was already experimenting with kaleidoscopes and psychedelic sounds in 8 and 16 mm films - my first experiences in mixing sounds and images - it was the beginning of videos clips and MTV. In 1995, I founded Univision Productions, specialized in making videos for large screens and video walls projections. Through computerized special effects, images of video, logos, photos and texts, gained movement in a mix of information and creativity (no VJ software then). At that time, I discovered a promising scene for Electronic Music, and acting as an agent and producer, brought to Brazil Top DJs Justin Berkman (Ministry of Sound, London), Tall Paul (The Gallery, London) and Jeremy Healy, (who does the sound tracks for John Galiano, Dior, Versace, Victoria's Secret), to perform in the clubs "Florestta" and "Base", in São Paulo. In 1999, in a TV show called "Contato" (aired on Rede Mulher TV, Brazil), I produced and directed a 10 minute segment on electronic music. Having Patricia Teixeira and Marina Renault as hostesses, interviewing DJs such as Renato Lopes, Marky, Felipe Venâncio, among others of the electronic music scene, Flávia Ceccato, Helô Ricci and Kaká Trash. It was shot at clubs Florestta, Base, Kashmir, Gitana and Lov.e. I was one of the first VJs in Brazil, and since 1996, have been generating images for events as: J&B Club Arenas, Phillips Expresssion, GodsKitchen and Nukleus, Triton, Flash Power, Cool Magazine, Tyrant Tour, Tribal Gathering, Reebok Tops, Sirius Rave, and shared the stage working as a VJ with DJs John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Ferry Corsten, Derrick Carter, Green Velvet, Tall Paul, Anderson Noise, Renato Cohen, Julio Torres, Filter Headz, Greg Wickers, Lee Burridge, Craig Richards, Wally Lopez, Behrouz, Josh Wink, and many others. Directed the prestigious Brazilian entertainement Cool Awards, 2003, 2004, and 2006. Made videos at many night clubs, such as Lov.E, Gitana, Club, Black Box, Ibiza, Warung, DEdge, Sirena, and interviews with the biggest names in the e-music scene, Fat Boy Slim, Tiesto, Hernan Cattaneo, Layo & Buschwacka, Gee Moore, Oliver, Michael Ashford, Stuart King, as well as Brazilian DJs Mau Mau, Carlo Dall´Alanese, Angelo Leuzzi, Anderson Noise, Julio Torres, Mary Zander, Buga, Ferris, Luiz Eurico Klotz, Leozinho, Ingrid, etc. I have SeeTheSound, which is a site to show videos about the electronic music scene in Brazil, interviews with Brazilian and International DJs, the best clubs and parties - www.seethesound.com.br - Ronaldo Mendonca
