Herbs for Health Magazine has a wonderful article on the importance of Shade Grown coffees-- their significance for the bean, the farmers, and the migratory species that rely on the forest canopy. Higher Ground Roasters is mentioned as a shade grown company, and in fact, all our beans are shade grown-- none are grown from clear-cutting or conventional methods.
