...music is so instrumental to change in society

About Me

Though born in the notorious Altgeld Gardens Housing Projects on Chicago’s far South Side, Kevin "The FORM" (Fountain Of Raw Material) Fountain’s extensive travels have taken him to various locations across the nation’s third largest metropolis and beyond. His music brings so many years of life’s struggles, hardships, trials, tribulations, evictions and convictions together in a diverse palette of sonic syncopations. Drawing his unpredictable sound from various sources of inspiration, Fountain maintains that he refuses to be another stereotyped hip-hop producer. " I’m a wordly individual who enjoys artists ranging from Thom Bell, Billie Holliday, and Thelonious Monk to Henry Mancini, Lalo Schiffrin, Kenny G, and Tina Marie. Many of today’s producers are overly concerned with cloning the hottest or most current trends in opposition to blazing their own musical trails. I have sounds that will appeal to everyone from the hardest gangsters to 80 year old white grandmothers. All elements, people, environments, and experiences that have affected my life can be heard in my compositions."With over a decade of experience making tracks, Fountain has produced classics for artists such as former Cash Money, current Virgin Records signee Mikkey, Source Unsigned Hype alumnie Scram Jones (emcee/producer for Biggie Smalls, G-Unit, Fat Joe, Remy Ma, and Mariah Carey), Marvolous aka Marvo, Lyricist Lounge veteran Thirstin Howell III,Allhiphop.com Breeding Ground feature Mose III, underground stalwarts Infinito 2017, Dashawn Drew, Pugslee Atoms, Nahvee, Ja Safe, The Cadre, Big Nasty, P.A.I.N., Bekky (Norway), Paula Campbell (Sony Urban/Columbia) and Seel Fresh amongst a wide spectrum of several other up and coming artists. Already making plans to become more of an industry presence, Fountain is far from content in his accomplishments to date. "Though I’m proud of my achievements thus far, I’m certainly not content with them and on top of what I feel I have yet to reach with my creative apex. I’m definitely one to watch for in the immediate future." With so much on the horizon, all music lovers need to either remain or get familiar with the name Kevin Fountain.
