Sometimes funny is more important than nice :)

About Me

I'll get back to this one soon...

My Interests

music, movies, thinking, cooking, etc...

I'd like to meet:

no one in particular. I'm just here to connect with hip hop fans, artists and activist alike. I'd also like to catch up with many people from my past life travels in the life of an Army Brat. With that in mind if you were in these places at these times, you might know me:karlsrue, Germany: 80 to 82-ish, stuttgart, germany (Pattonville) 82-84-ish, Fort Riley/Junction City Kansas '84-'86, North Chicago/Waukegan, IL '86-'03,

Music:

my roots are in soul and funk. my history is in hip hop. my mind is open to many things including; jazz, blues, pop (esp. the 80s of course), punk rock, rock, and I have fascination with country from time to time... Just to give the basics...if it's creative and has a good feel to it and it sounds like some thought and passion went into it then I probably can enjoy or at least appreciate it.

Movies:

12 Monkeys, Search & Destroy, Planes Trains & Automobiles, Floundering, Buffalo 66, Clay Pigeons, and a million others currently escaping me.I'm a fan of the work of Bruce Willis (I should probably join the fan club honestly), Samuel Jackson, Kevin Spacey, Vince Vaughn, Cristina Ricci, Denzel Washington, and so on...Plus since I'm a on again/off again comic nerd I go see all comic book movies for the most part

Television:

haven't watched much t.v. in the last 10 or so years of my life. I think the last show I was into was....Alf. Well, that's until I discoverd Curb Your Enthusiasm, which I now love. I did recently watch a DVD of Arrested Development which is good. Who knows, I did recently get cable, maybe I'll join the mindless masses a lil more...ha!

Books:

don't read much honestly. Most of the books I've read in the last 10 years or so have been spiritual books or books about the workings of the brain or analyzing dreams or conspiracy theories and things of the sort. However, recently my girl brought me a book from one of her favorite writers, Charles Bukowski...what a guy...ha! He's ability for writing detail is pretty top notch. The lifestyle of his characters...creepy...ha!

Heroes:

I don't even know how to answer this...I guess anyone who has the courage and mentality to live life as a good human being who can be courteous of others and not think the world revolves around them. Get that down and I salute you...
