Hey What Up, Im Michelle Manifesto aka MISS SAIGON WeLcOmE 2 my page. First of all, I have always love music. I never knew that one day it would be my calling. As a teen I was kinda shy so poetry was a natural way for me to express my inner feelings and thoughts. I didnt know then that words can have such an impact, I only knew that I felt something thru it and that music could express all my feelings and moods, whatever I wanted to hear I put that on. I watch a lot of music videos growing up too. Thru that was how I was most influenced into my love for hiphop, its style and culuture. It was an instant connection. Being from the burbs of Chicago, I had to go experience the world, I knew if I stayed around there I wouldnt progress. I had gone to LA to model and ended up in New York City where I lived for the next 8 years, not modeling but studied acting and by this time I was writing raps, hustling and waiting tables. There were not many female emcees out there or in groups so I started collaborating with a group. We called ourselves "Ambassadors." It was a 3 girl group consisting of Infinity(Queens)"Papergirl Records" and Chyna White(New Jersey).We performed at Speed NYC twice and along with other venues NV and etc. At that time used the name Manifesto. I'd been writing for awhile and when our group didnt work out, I became solo. That started the birth of Miss Saigon. I immediately started fliippin the name. Id go to open mic at the Pyramid. Spit at the Hiphop conference and etc. I started working on my solo songs. I worked with Jerry Wonder and Wyclef, Govmattic(Brick Mob) and Chuck D. Chuck D was one of my mentors, one thing youll learn in this business is that everyone has different writing styles, Ive been fortunate to be part of many projects and learn so much from each and every one of them. I moved back to Chicago and performed in Chinatown at the "Summer Fair 2005 and 2007. Now Im working with Wildstyle from Crucial Conflict " Put Yo Hands In Da Air". Im also working with my homie Cheba on some banging collabos, I will also have a cameo in the upcoming Movie "PLAYERS SCHOOL" plus much more but fa now will just keep tha rest on tha hush..
