Welcome to ILLINOIS - CANNABIS ACTION NETWORK (Midwest Regional Referral) ====================================================== The Mission of the Illinois Cannabis Action Network is to aid in reducing the harm associated with cannabis consumption and to educate the voting population regarding the need to reform cannabis laws. The Cannabis Liberation Movement is a global struggle. We need to act locally but think globally. What campaigns of reform others have been successful with - we must use to create our own reform. To lobby as others have, in order to change laws that that the public no longer supports. And for those others who struggle, the successful can reach down to lift them up as we reform laws together. ======================================================

My Interests

YOU KNOW WHEN CONSERVATIVES LIKE FOX NEWS BILL O'RIELLY OPENLY FAVOR DECRIMINALIZATION YOU HAVE TO WONDER WHY INNOCENT POT SMOKERS ARE STILL BEING PUT IN JAIL & VILLIANIZED AS CRIMINALS.

What do you think?

This network of friends, family, medical practitioners, lawyers, business owners, activist and humanitarians is for smokers and non-smokers alike that understand that decriminalization of marijuana is about protecting liberty by rejecting governmental lies in favor of protecting human lives and rights. The primary purpose of America's current policy is protection of the plastics, alcohol, criminal system and other profit driven affairs. Yes, "nothing changes on New Year's Day" ... as my economics teacher used to say everyday before we'd start class "money, money, money makes the world go round." So I hope you all dissent from government propaganda at least on this most clear issue. Any reasonable person who is even partially aligned with the truth can see the insanity of America's hypocrisy on this issue. The toxic drug nicotine and the countess lives lost to that addiction or the problem alcohol reeks is devastating on Americans, while the better and safer alternative is villianized and becomes a PRETEXT for GOVERNMENTAL ABUSE against the people, their families and liberties.
Gee "I'm glad to be an American where at least I know I'm free." Who the hell wrote that song admidst the backdrop of centralization of government and the rapid erosion of civil liberties in America. Always an ignorant 'Yes' man to help keep people in a state of collective delusion.
"Why is marijuana against the law? It grows naturally upon our planet. Doesn't the idea of making nature against the law seem to you a bit... unnatural? You know what I mean? It's nature. How do you make nature against the fucking law?" --Bill Hicks
Ordinarily, political views are motivated and controlled by culture, religion, social standards and the like (supported by an underlying theme of what is "practical" or "just" amongst the brainwashed minds of society). This obviously leads to illogical decisions, which feed off each other, creating even bigger and more complex problems. When aristocratic parties and groups who manipulate these social standards of cultural morality are granted positions in government, it quickly leads to an excess of their empowerment in the economic system. And those who rule the economy ultimately control society through religion, entertainment, etc. This causes an economy that can be ridiculously manipulated by a highly organized and intelligent form of greed, due to unawareness and inaction of the mentally subdued population. My (or Our Organization of Pro-Legalization/De-Criminalization) motives are different from this in the fact that we base our political views off of logic and scientific fact vs. cultural opinion, and it only makes since that all excess wealth is to be recycled to the lower economic classes, educational system, scientific foundations and small entrepreneur based business to better our economy as a whole, and multiply technological, medical and social progress.

I'd like to meet:

The Illinois Cannabis Action Network, IL-CAN, is an organization for people of Illinois and residents of other states who want to see Marijuana Decriminalized. Our intent is to send out educational or action bulletins to encourage you to take action in your community and our nation.
I encourage you to comment my site because review and reflection is necessary in order to better serve the cause. I have a personal account, my other profile is www.myspace.com/rev_smiley. I encourage you to examine the information I have up concerning ethogens and other interesting blog comments on psychedelic research, politics and of course psychology, among other things.
I am partial to REAL friends, not myspace friends only, but people who are serious and concerned for the change in the education, media portrayal, and misinformation surrounding marijuana & 'psychedelic' consciousness. I am not an avid comment leaver - unless it's to convey some visual information necessary to make a significant point.

An amazing true story... 4 min documentary, on world famous cannabis grower Scott Blakely, please enjoy!
With a Masters in Biology and a love of cannabis, Scott Blakey's (aka Shantibaba) track record is world class. He established his reputation working for the Sensi Seed Bank, where he developed Northern Lights # 5 x Haze and Big Bud, multi award winning varieties of cannabis and two of the best known strains available. Scott then moved on to co-found the Greenhouse Seed Company, where he developed the "White" line: White Widow, White Rhino, White Shark, etc. His undoubted ability and breeding expertise made the Greenhouse Seeds Company what it is today.
In 1999 Scott and Howard Marks decided to team up and start their own Seedbank. The Mr Nice Seedsbank was established in Switzerland following the Dutch governments changing of the law in Holland which made professional, above-board indoor breeding illegal.
Scott was one of the first of the seed breeders to make this move. His company, Gene Bank Technology, had a $2m contract with the Body Shop to supply cannabis essential oil for their hemp cosmetics and also produced the vital ingredients for a top brand of hemp beer.
At the beginning of 2003 Scott Blakey was in jail in Switzerland serving time for developing more potent cultivars (a variety of a plant developed from a natural species and maintained under cultivation) of cannabis.
On the 3rd of October Shantibaba was freed after serving 14 months in jail for growing cannabis within Swiss borders.
