I survived falling asleep at the wheel and driving under a parked 18-wheeler which took the whole top of the car off on a very COLD Sunday morning on Jan.7th,2001.if I would have had my seatbelt ON(which I usually had) I would have been decapatated..broke my neck in two places,airlifted to St. Louis,in a coma for 91 days.Came home five months later,I was hit by a ton of bricks at the speed of light..(lived in nursing home for 16 months,but thats an entire different story)!!! My wheelchair has been come part of me...half man, half machine.My fingers do not bend,my hands are fisted up. At times I fell stuck like chuck,a turtle on its back,in the slow lane,going insane...a rat in a cage,full of rage; But I try hard to stay positive in this crazy new world order,or the negative will eat at me like a cannibal...No more nightlife,as of many other things,an owl turned into a canary.Always telling myself anything and everything could always be worse.Death is always going to be lurking just inches and seconds away! Had to stop asking myself''why me''years ago,and realize that everything happens for a reason.Pain is a bitch,however what dose'nt kill you makes you stronger.I've cheated death many times and still can't wrap my mind around it.I have mastered patience,the hardest virtue,never will I take anything for granted like this drink of water,and the precious oxygen I've been inhaling.All I can say is fear nothing....you can turn right and get hit head on,or you can turn left and win the lottery....We have to remain calm and avoid ignorance if we want to change the planet for the better.I can't understand why we are at war with people who never started anything with us-we are pouring a million dollars every 5 minutes to Iraq,12 million an hour=228 million a day...calculator time-1 billion=1000 million;The government dropped over 500 BILLION to Iraq=500 thousand MILLION!!! A half of million million...confused???-300 million U.S. citizens vs.500,000 million dollars!!!!-$300 0r $500,000? Every American could be safe and secure,no worries,free health care,50 cents a gallon of gas,minimum wage could be $20+/hr.NOOOOOO-They want to KILL & BRAINWASH,making us ignorant and sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! george bush is a bitch,he is sending more troops to Iraq...he dose'nt seem to realize that means there will be more body bags to fill? 4000 plus dead as of 2008,going on five years now;a lot of kids never see their one year anniversary from graduating high school.Plus the bastard dose'nt support stem cell research-I could be verticale-! wtf??,Yea,I'd give my left and right nut to skateboard with my boy,been in the same chair two months pre 9/11, but hate to complain because millions have it a hundred times worse than me.My sister and brother in-law flew CH-47 Chinook helicopters for the Army in March 2003,from the get go.She dropped off 30 Marines at a time so they could go kill strangers,then the next day she had to go land and pick up a cargo of body bags and fly 6 hours down to Kuwait to have them unloaded and sent back to the states so they could have a proper funeral.She did this everyday for 8 months,let alone getting shot at by ground fire,worring constantly if a rocket propelled grenade would hit her chopper like many of her friends,who never made it home,plus the 130 degree desert heat.It is HELL,people are dying 24/7....... I support the troops,they are there for us,but the government is setting them up like chess pieces,and brainwashing everyone For what?,nothing has changed..what have we achieved? Besides filling up graves day after day....?????????????........................................ .................. I'm pissed off more than ever at ther government now than ever before,the U.S.is an open target for a million terrorists,our whole system is screwed up,we treat serial killers,rapists,and child molesters better than war veterans who were drafted and forced to kill people they did'nt even know or handicapped people,disease infested people,or basically your average hard working American citizen struggling to get medical insurance.They should be taking care of us,instead we pay taxes to support a senseless war and I have to show a photo i.d,birth certificate,social security card,passport,ticket,blood sample,just to fly to Alabama while 10 thousand illegal aliens just walked into our border who don't know their last name or birthday who came here for a life of crime because they know our prisons are better than the Holiday Inn yet they want to bitch and complain because their food is too cold,or their t.v.is broken,while myself and millions more who did'nt ask for their life to be drastically changed are the real prisioners.I hate to be negative but it seems like the Truth is negative,and the Positive is false,thats why it is a Struggle to maintain sanity and ignore the pain I'm going through.............. ...... .......Life is crazy= As a child I was always taught that bad things will happen to you in life. It's not what you go through in life....but it's how you deal with it that makes you who you are. I have been through lots in life and although at times I get knocked down...... I believe as long as I can look up... I can get up. I have been a very fortunate individual to be able to say that I have had no detrimental failures in life and although negative powers surround me..... I maintain my focus and continue to deal with these situations appropriately. Optimism, hard work, dedication and self respect keep me on a narrow path that many are too broad to travel. The road to happiness starts within yourself. No one can give you happiness if you don't first have something to be happy about. Believe in yourself and anything is possible. If you don't believe in yourself... ..no one else ever will.....The last time I was able to sit without help, but that only lasted 12 miles untill I needed help up. I watched my friend get shot to death over an arguement,he was supposed to be at a Korn concert,but they cancelled at the last minute because the drummers hand hurt...we were at a stupid prom party....he never saw 21...My friend Mike died 6 weeks before I came home from the hospital,he was a talented guitar player and martial arts expert...I never had to worry when I was with him..John was another good friend from way back,again I never had to worry when I was with him,he had everyones back.I knew Jamie since we were kids,I almost died in a car crash when I went to visit him in the sticks of Missouri back in winter 1994...Myspace Graphics
