Deacon D.A.S.(Demetrius Alexander Springer) is one of the newest and most dynamic members of the Christian Music Community. His ministry is amazingly captivating and filled to overflow with the Holy Spirit. He is a true stand-out in the midst of a world that seemingly takes pride in copying, replicating, and down right stealing.
As were many, Deacon D.A.S. was once wayward in his lifestyle, music, and overall purpose. The power of God in him was visible even during his time as a secular artist. Despite the fact that his music was not in line with the will of God, it's quality could not be denied.
Once Deacon D.A.S. was nearing a true mastery of his gift, God dealt with him in a most personal manner and called him out of sin in every aspect of his life. After encountering the ministry of Elder G. Craig Lewis, Deacon's dedication to the Lord was resurrected. For during his time in secular dealings he had professed Christianity, but displayed little evidence of his faith. The ministry of Elder Lewis coupled with a net of sincere Christian friends helped Deacon to make a complete turn around for Christ.
Deacon is now a certified "Deacon" at his home church, Winton Hills Prebyterian. Another major difference in Deacon now is his music. He abandoned that which was against God to fully devote his God-given abilities to the Lord. Deacon D.A.S. made his first appearance as a Christian rapper on a track entitled "Ephesians 6:12" from The Message Volume 2: More Than A Radio Show Mix LP. In late 2004, Deacon D.A.S. assembled himself with Ain't Yo Average Music. Deacon's new mission is to help others like himself to meet, believe, and live for Jesus that they may recieve blessings, love, and salvation of God as he has.
Deacon has most recently appeared on the J-Reign release, "DA 1,2". And his first AYA Music release, "Deaconstruction: Destroy & Rebuild EP" was visited on Christian music earlier this year.
