Stephanie Bridges is a writer of all genres. Her first book of poetry, I SPAT, was published in May 2006, and has received only positive reviews. The book is currently available on Amazon.com and in Barnes and Nobles Bookstores. She is currently working on a spoken word CD of the same title that will include poetry and also highlight her talent as a songwriter. One of her songs, Beyond the Horizon, is slated to be featured on the soundtrack for the independent film, Saving the Lives of Children. She will also be appearing in the film.My Favorite Color is Blue and If I Was a Part of the Animal Kingdom are two of a four book children’s series entitled, I SPAT for Children. Each book explores an African American child’s unique way of understanding their world and how they fit into it from a spiritual perspective. Stephanie uses poetic form to take readers of all ages on a lyrical journey. Look for these titles and others in May 2007.Just Paper and Ink, a compilation of short stories, poetry, and art by various artists will be published in early 2007. Stephanie has three flash fiction works, Niggle, The Best Night of Tina’s Life, and Stamina included in this project. In an effort to highlight the work of other talented, African American writers in the mid-west, Stephanie reviews book for the e-zine, www.columbusblack.com.Stephanie is the founder of I Spat Publications, and I Spat Productions. I SPAT is an acronym for In Spirit, Power, and Truth. Which signifies that by living In the Spirit, God Grants us the Power to walk in the Truth.
