As a native of Miami Florida, God’s Baby Girl is known as The Princess of Gospel Hip-Hop” and is recognized for her unprecedented approach toward saving lives through her sincere love for Jesus Christ and Hip-Hop. With the two combinations, God’s Baby Girl, has ministered to audiences of all demographics and continues to captivate today’s youth while inspiring them to maintain a lifestyle of faith, perseverance, and self-respect. Songs such as, “Just like That”, “Ready 2 Ride” and “Sinners Prayer” have all proven to witness and touch the lives of people throughout Florida and beyond.Born as Tia L. Tompkins, God’s Baby Girl is currently enrolled at Florida International University, where she is obtaining a Bachelor Science Degree in Criminal Justice. She is a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Arthur Jackson, III. Tia’s parents, Joel and Alexzina Tompkins, reared her in the church; however, at the age of fourteen, she would encounter God in a more personal way. At a youth conference in Bradenton, Florida, she accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and became serious about the things of God. It was at that moment that she decided to remain a virgin until marriage and abstain from clubs, drugs and alcohol. Since that time, Tia has allowed God use her in a variety of ways in ministry such as: A Youth Choir, Step and Drama, and other ministries. Eventually, Tia discovered her gift to rap and became apart of two gospel rap groups Protégé and Christ Souljahs for five years. However, in 2003, God released Tia to become a solo rap artist under Spirit Network Productions and she has been on fire ever since. As Tia matured in the things of God, she began to realize that “all things work together for the good of them that love the Lord and who are the called according to His purpose.” The obstacles she endured at a young age, ultimately became the stepping stones that would revolutionize her life. Tia is a young, innovative and powerful woman of God who ministers to the lost through the gift of gospel rap. She stresses to her young audience the importance of holiness and being on fire for God. She believes worship is a priority in this Christian life. Furthermore, Tia believes anything worth having is worth fighting for and for her “its eternal life with Jesus Christ.”God has blessed her with the opportunity to grace the stages with people like: Pettidee, Grits, Raw Servnt, Sherwin Gardner, BB Jay, Ziglag Boyz, R-Swift, K-Drama, DJ Will, Big Baby, and many other.God’s Baby Girl’s mission is to bring the unsaved to Jesus Christ through the gift God has imparted into her and to tear down the strongholds on the Body of Christ.
