Rajat began his musical training at an early age. At first, listening to songs and playing them by ear on his guitar and keyboards, he was influcenced by the friendly community of music lovers
& producers. He used to notice people around him & would imitate the chords and rhythms. Teaching himself by seeing others was his style.
He gained inspiration through his brother Dj San, he got into dj'in & spun for the first time at the ripe age of fifteen in Montreal, Canada.
In the meanwhile, he became attracted to the world of electronic production.He started practicing on apps, & converted his
musical thoughts into electronic sounds & started learning production from fellow artists in Montreal and New Delhi. He describes his sound to be more intelligent & experimental fusing all genres.
Later he started spinning lounge music @ Urban Pind in New Delhi.
Rajat spends his days and nights working out fresh tracks and combining his efforts with a wide variety of India's live and studio performers.
Recently,Rajat made the crowd dance at World Music Festival @ Zenzi in Mumbai.Australian Penelope Spencer blend her vocals with percussionist Jonqui
from Mumbai and DJ Rajat from Delhi at Zenzi, the electronic dance music (EDM) scene
has progressed from a handful in India to a wider spectrum of artists/ musicians/ producers and DJs experimenting
and collaborating together to form an electronically textured platform for an interesting future.
Her vocals and Jonqui’s percussions do the magic as DJ Rajat works the turn table...they set Zenzi ablaze.
The trio met for the first time & the evening was spontaneous and exciting.On October 25th 07, Rajat performed for British Airways Club World Asia Launch 2007 – Delhi (Hyatt) with Gagan Singh on World Drums.Still its a long journey of creativity, discipline & practice.....
